The Light is right. But…

I spotted the light on this building from almost two blocks away. The evening sunlight was reflecting of the large glass building across the street. I was all excited to get there and make a great photograph in this fantastic lighting situation. As I made my way over my excitement dwindled as I saw the road all ripped up and under construction. Those terrible orange and black construction pylons, that temporary lampost - so ugly. All I had with me was my Ricoh GRiii with a 28mm lens. There was no working around this situation, I had to just embrace the scene and make it all part of the photograph. I might have to wait a year and come back at the same time and date to get that lighting when the construction is finished.
Or, maybe it works just like this.
